Ten-year-old Dalton Brenneke picked up his first feature win this season at the infamous Eldora Speedway on May 20. After fighting an ill-handling go-kart through the heats, Dalton never gave up. Starting the feature in second, the leader took off with a lengthy lead. As the laps ticked away he made the pass for the lead with two laps to go and held on for his first ever win at Little Eldora.
After the feature was over Dalton said, “It has always been my dream to win at Eldora. I have family that have raced there on the big track and some day I want to win over on the half mile.” Dalton has won two consecutive track championships at Baerfield Speedway in Fort Wayne and this year is extending his experience on the dirt.
The Brenneke family would like to thank the following sponsors. Without their help none of this would be possible: Hoffman & Co., Ramble Inn, QSI Automation, Gaerte’s Garage, Tom Beezley & Son Auto Repair, Eagle Lumber, Columbia Auction, Dial X, Rebuild pop fund, Stick It Company and Brenneke Firewood.
