The Churubusco golf team won a Conference tri-way match last Thursday night beating Westview and Eastside at Bridgewater Golf Course in Auburn. The visiting Eagles shot a 185 led by Ryan Mayer with a 42 giving him runner-up medalist honors.
“I told the guys to just try and make bogeys tonight, the weather was cold and the wind was really bad,” said Coach Todd Fry. “I thought we did a good job by shooting 185 in these conditions.”
Beau Barkley and Parker Conrad had 47’s, followed by Brandon Norris 49, and Brad Martin 50.
On Friday the Churubusco golf team hosted Conference foes Fairfield and Hamilton. Fairfield won the match with a score of 152 followed by Churubusco 161 and Hamilton 175. Busco’s Ryan Mayer tied for medalist honors with a 37. The Eagles’ Beau Barkley was one off the pace shooting a 38. Brandon Norris and Parker Conrad finished out the scoring for Busco with a 42 and 44. The Eagles are 9-6 on the year and 4-4 in Conference play.
The Eagle golfers are back in action Saturday at Fremont.
