CHEERS TO: The kind and honest CVS customer who found my wallet next to my car and brought it into the store to return it. In the moment I failed to get her name, but I appreciate very much the extra effort she made to see that it was returned. Thank you!
-Don Harty,
Granger, IN
WHATABOUT: The current location of the Busco Post Office mailbox. Wouldn’t it be more accessicle on the south side of the building? Then patrons could drop off mail, make a u-turn and return to Main Street. If anyone has an idea, let’s hear it.

CHEERS TO: The people that are conservative in their use of electricity because the more that is used the more pollution power companies put into the air to provide it.
-Wayne Yager
CHEERS TO: The Key Club members and Mr. Moore for working so hard with the Bake Sale held last week to raise money for the Gazebo Project. They raised over $250 for the second phase of the Eagle Memorial Garden. The Key Club also has a Money Wars project involving a certain winning teacher wearing a "cow" outfit as the prize...pictures coming next week on this fundraising event!
AND CHEERS TO: Several businesses who donated substantial funds to the Gazebo Project; Northeastern REMC, Churubusco Rotary Club, PNA Bank, and McDonald’s. Thanks!!!
AND CHEERS TO: The community businesses/ individuals paying $50 to purchase a small plaque to support the Gazebo Project fundraising. See Cindy Zollinger or Julie Mast of CES for more information if you are interested. Seven plaques have already been purchased! Cheers!!!
AND CHEERS TO: The people who have already purchased a hand and given a high $5 to help the Gazebo Project. Sales of hands will be handled through Key Club members supported by the Auburn Kiwanis Club throughout February and March at school events.
AND CHEERS TO: Some junior students in Mrs. Sim's class that are writing persuasive letters to acquire donations for the Gazebo Project. They are able to help our community start new traditions by remembering the past and taking the present into the future by helping build this "community" gazebo to be located in the Eagle Memorial Garden. Hopes are to have prom pictures taken this May in the new Gazebo.
-Julie Mast
CHEERS TO: The CJSHS Key Club, Mr. Moore, Mrs. Mast, and Mrs. Zollinger for leading the staff and students in fundraisers for the Eagle Garden Gazebo. WHATABOUT: Contacting the school at 693-2188 to donate $5 to give them a High Five toward the gazebo or donating $50 to have your name placed on a plaque on the gazebo?
-Thanks,

CHEERS TO: SGCS Business Manager Todd Fleetwood and the School Board for moving forward with financing for some much needed projects. I understand the concerns about the debt that will be created as a result, but the time is definitely right. We may never see interest rates this low again so it makes sense to take advantage by pursuing a long-term loan. The recent trend for corporations has been to redeem some of their short-term debt and lock in attractive longer-term funding . . . something the school corporation could consider depending on the structure of their previous debt financing. We all want our children to learn in the best environment possible and addressing these "must do" projects is a step in the right direction.

WHATABOUT: Remembering Abraham Lincoln Sunday, February 12. Praying for a nationwide revival consisting of individual repentance from sin and a return to the Biblical values upon which America was founded.

CHEERS TO: Sara Conrow. I appreciate the kindness. Thank you.
-Jenni Jordan
CHEERS TO: The students at CES that have already purchased a “Wilbur the Ant” book for $7.50 from their teacher before February 2. The books will be delivered to the students that bought them during the visit to CES on Read Across America Day, March 2, by Kewiki, the author. Each book will be autographed and Kewiki will talk to all the students about being an author and how to make your writing dreams come true. AND CHEERS TO: The community readers volunteering to come to school to read to the students at CES for our Read Across America celebration on March 2. We are very lucky to live in such an awesome, caring community.
-Julie Mast
CHEERS TO: All the people in our wonderful community, including the businesses and churches, for all of the support that you have given to us through our journey with breast cancer. We feel very fortunate to live in such a small town. You guys really know how to “Love us through this!” We are looking forward to the day when “pink is just a color again!”
-Sean and Carrie Barcus
AKA Team Barcus
JEERS TO: The person or persons who stole the cans of nuts from the low-income senior citizens complex, which Greg Childs had generously donated for everyone around Christmas time. Alhough the inner door is always locked, there is access to the office and a table sits in the entrance way. The table is where Greg Childs left his gifts. Whoever did this, I don’t think God is very happy with you. Think about it.
