FORT WAYNE -- John R. Murray, 70, passed away Wednesday, January 25, 2012 at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne.
Born in Peru, Ind., he worked as an accountant and computer manager with American Hoist for 17 years. He also was the owner and manager of Precision Transmission and Auto Inc. He loved his wife and animals and enjoyed his tractors.
Surviving are his wife of 39 years, Antoinette “Toni” V. Murray of Fort Wayne; brother, William P. (Roxanne) Murray of Fort Wayne; niece, Kathy Murray of Florida; nephews, Greg Murray of Churubusco, and David (Charlotte) Murray of South Carolina. He was preceded in death by parents, Edison and Mary Murray.
Funeral service is 10 a.m. Tuesday, January 31, 2012, at D. O. McComb & Sons Covington Knolls Funeral Home, 8325 Covington Road with calling one hour prior. Pastor Jerry Blanchard officiating. Calling also from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday, January 30, 2012 at the funeral home.
Entombment in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Fort Wayne.
