FORT WAYNE -- Donnie D. Stone, 76, died on Thursday, January 5, 2012, in St. Augustine, Florida.

Born August 29, 1935, in McCaskill, Alaska, he was the son of the late Dewey and Gradie Stone. He worked for 42 plus years as a driver for Super Valu. He was an Army veteran and a member of American Legion Post 47.

Surviving are his wife of 50 years, Carol Stone; children, Kevin (Erin) Follis of New Hampshire, John Stone of Hastings, Fla., Cheryl (Michael) Stone-Stucker of Churubusco; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren with another two on the way.

Service is 1 p.m. Friday, January 13, 2012, at Covington Memorial Funeral Home, 8408 Covington Road, with calling 30 minutes prior to service. Calling also from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Burial in Covington Memorial Gardens.
