FORT WAYNE -- Ruth E. Turner, 80, of Fort Wayne, passed way on Monday, January 2, 2012, at Parkview Hospital.

Born August 29, 1931, in Allen County, she retired in 1992 after 34 years as an Assistant Buyer with Navistar. She was a member of Heartland Church.

Surviving are her daughter, Kelly (Joey) Ramos of Fowler, Ind.; son, Michael (Pamela) Turner of Fort Wayne; three grandchildren, Jacob (Carissa) Chrzan, Mitchell Turner and Bailey (Rob) Campbell; brothers, Richard Opliger of LaOtto and Donald (Eileen) Opliger of Leo; and sisters-in-law, Margie, Rosie and Isabelle Opliger. She was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn Turner.

Memorial service is 3 p.m. Friday, January 6, 2012, at Klaehn, Fahl & Melton Funeral Home, Wayne Street Chapel, 420 W. Wayne St., with calling three hours prior to service.
