FORT WAYNE -- Gregory A. Aspacher, 55, passed away Wednesday, September 16, 2009 at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne.
Born in Fort Wayne, he was a plumber and pipe fitter with PDP & Shambaugh with the Steam Fitters and Plumbing Union Local 166 since 1973. He was a member of Huntertown United Methodist Church and charter member of St. Joe Valley Conservation Club. His favorite times were spent in 4-H and sports with his daughters for many years. He enjoyed fishing at the lake, hunting, and being very active in the community. As a matter of fact, he's probably struck up a conversation with you sometime, somewhere.
He is survived by his daughters, Kelly (Travis) Weber of Lexington, KY, Andrea (Jake Zehr) Aspacher of Fort Wayne, and Ashley Aspacher of Churubusco; father, Herman Aspacher of Fort Wayne; sister, Suzan Deaton of Fort Wayne; and grandson, Zealand Aspacher Zehr of Fort Wayne.
Gregory was preceded in death by his mother, Colette Aspacher.
Funeral service was Monday at Huntertown United Methodist Church, 16115 Lima Road, with Rev. Sherri Long officiating. D.O. McComb & Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home, 1320 East Dupont Rd., was in charge of the arrangements.
Burial was in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
Memorials may be made to Huntertown United Methodist Church or Allen County 4-H.
