He was born March 23, 1937. He married Sandra Shock on July 5, 1960.

ALBION -- Paul T. Konger, 83, a resident of rural Albion, passed away at 6:30 a.m. on Sunday, May 11, 2014 at his home in Green Township following a lengthy illness.

Mr. Konger was born on the family farm in Green Township on August 26, 1930, a son of Clarence and Mildred (Emge) Konger, and spent his entire lifetime there.  He graduated from Churubusco High School in 1948, and retired from Dana Corporation in Fort Wayne in 1991 after 30 years. He was also engaged in farming in Green Township most of his adult life.

CHURUBUSCO -- David L. Zeigler, 71, of Churubusco, passed away at 7:48 p.m. on Monday, May 5, 2014 at his home in rural Churubusco.

Mr. Zeigler was born on February 19, 1943 in Wolf Lake, a son of Clarence and Bernice (Deem) Zeigler. He spent his formative years in Churubusco, and graduated from Churubusco High School in 1961.

On October 5, 1968 he was married in Merriam to Bonnie Shambaugh.

After high school he served in the Air National Guard for seven years.

LEO -- Annella M. Smith, 99, of Leo, died on Saturday, April 26, 2014.

Mrs. Smith was born May 2, 1914. She married Carl Smith on June 7, 1937. He preceded her in death on February 8, 1972.

Surviving are a son, Bob of Churubusco; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

INDIANAPOLIS -- Jeremy G. Stout, 38, of Indianapolis and a former resident of Whitley County was killed at 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 30, 2014 in a two-vehicle accident on St. Rd. 37 and Southport Road in Marion County.

He was born on March 20, 1976 in Columbia City, a son of Larry D. and Junell Maggert Stout. His formative years were spent in the Churubusco area, where he graduated from high school in 1994, later receiving a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice with a minor in Psychology from Taylor University Fort Wayne. He had served an internship with the United States Marshals Service working with several areas of federal government including Federal Probation Department and Court Security Officers. Jeremy was also a certified NRA pistol instructor with concealed weapons training.

CHURUBUSCO -- Wanda Roberson, 88, a resident of rural Churubusco in Allen County and widow of John David Roberson, passed away at 4:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 26, 2014 at her home in Eel River Township following an extended illness.

Mrs. Roberson was born in Decatur on September 7, 1925, a daughter of Noah and Manda (Myers) Blowers, and grew up in the Geneva-area. As a youth, she moved to Noble County with her parents and graduated from Albion High School in 1944.
