HALO’S Mission Statement: The HALO Foundation is committed to enhancing the living conditions and providing art therapy for orphans Worldwide. HALO provides American youth with opportunities to learn philanthropy and volunteerism by seeing the world through the eyes of the less fortunate.
Who will they be helping? Their funds will provide needed supplies to orphans/orphanages in Mexico, India, Uganda, Kenya and Nicaragua.
What will their funds accomplish? The funds will provide food, water, clothing, education and art therapy to the orphans/orphanages in the above countries. HALO is certainly unique in the way they approach development because they firmly believe in the power of relationships and leadership. By investing deeply in each child HALO serves to make a difference on a small scale, which will produce leaders who will invest in their communities and country and make a difference in the big picture.
Ten dollars will give 30 orphans food for a month. If each of you, our members would donate something to this cause, together we can benefit others as we have been benefited, passing on to others.
Donations for this project need to be mailed to Sharon Hesting, 3394 E. 1000 South - 92, Roanoke, IN 46783 by June 1, so she in turn will be able to submit it to Margaret Menges by June 30.
