Here is a history note from 100 years ago: In 1912 Woodrow Wilson and Thomas Marshall swept the county in the Presidential Election. Thomas Marshall, Vice-President, was from Whitley County. His home serves as the Whitley County Museum and is located at 108 W. Jefferson in Columbia City. Their hours are 9 a.m. - 5 p.m., Wednesday and Thursday and 9 a.m. - 12 noon on Friday. The local History Center is open from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. on Monday and Thursday. It is located at 108 W. Washington Street, in Busco.

They have yearbooks from the following years: 1949, 1954, 1956, 1957, 1958, 1959, 1960, 1962, 1963, 1964, 1965, 1966, 1985, 1987, 1988, 1989, 1990, 1991, 1992, 1993.

They also have Periscopes (previous name given to old yearbooks) from 1916, 1924, and 1932. They also have a Tattler from 1912 which is similar to a yearbook. Yearbooks are also wanted from years not mentioned above.
