On Saturday, January 28, New Era will host its annual Show Choir Invitational at Churubusco High School.  This competition features schools from around the state including the women’s groups for Marion “Sweet Inspirations,” Northrup “Allure,” and Center Grove “The Debtones.” Mixed groups coming include Marion “26th Street Innovations,” Central Noble “CN Censation,” Bluffton “Musical Entourage,” Hamilton “Rhapsody In Blue,” Lakeland “Vocal Motion,” Garrett “Encore,” Northrup “Charisma,” and Center Grove “Sounsystem.” The first choir will perform at 10 a.m. with the afternoon awards starting at 5:30  p.m. The evening finals competition will begin at 6:30 p.m. with New Era performing at 4:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. with the final evening awards ceremony to follow. Tickets for the invitational are $10 and allow admission for the entire day and evening of competition. Plan to come out and enjoy a day full of entertainment and competition to help kickoff New Era’s 2012 season.
