The Annual “Holiday Bazaar and Quilt Show,” sponsored by the Whitley County Extension Homemakers, will be held on Friday and Saturday, November 2 and 3, at the Whitley County 4-H Center on Squawbuck Road in Columbia City. The show hours are Friday, November 2, 9 a.m. - 6 p.m., and Saturday, November 3, from 8:30 a.m. until 2 p.m.
Shop at the Bazaar for special gifts you have been searching for. Many of your favorite crafters will be returning. Also visit with those who are participating for the first time.
Visit the Quilt Show and see the work of area quilters. You can also vote for your favorite!
The Extension Homemakers have designed and made a quilt to raise money for the endowment fund for the Purdue University Center for Cancer Research, one of only seven basic science cancer centers in the USA. The beautiful quilt is made of vibrant colors of golds, browns, reds, and oranges. You can buy your tickets to support cancer research for $1 each, or six for $5 and they are available from the Whitley County Extension Office.
Come spend the day at the 4-H Center and enjoy lunch with your friends. Food will be provided by St. John’s Lutheran Church.
If you have any questions about the event, you may call the Extension Office at 260-244-7615, or 260-625-3313.
