Single session tickets for Friday and Saturday cost $15 for adults, $5 for kids ages 5-12, and children ages four and under enter for free.
There are no advanced ticket sales.
The Arcola National Truck and Tractor Pull operates exclusively as a fundraiser for the Arcola Volunteer Fire Department.  There are no paid staff in the department, nor for this event, and over 300 volunteers work to make the event possible.
The Arcola National Truck and Tractor Pull began in 1954, as an event of the Arcola Days annual festival.  In the early days, farm tractors pulled sleds with people standing on them for weight. Periodically, another person would step on to the wooden sled, giving the tractor more weight to pull.
Arcola Days eventually waned in popularity, but the pull survived as a stand-alone fundraiser.
In 1977, Carl Branning, persuaded his brother Leonard “Babe” Branning, both charter volunteer firefighters, to construct a permanent clay pull track on his property. The site was formerly a tile mill, and the excellent clay used for tiles made a perfect pull track.
From 1977 until 2010, Babe supported the Arcola Volunteer Fire Department by providing this permanent site for the tractor pull, and for many years he coordinated the event.
The firefighters provided materials and labor to construct and maintain the buildings, bleachers, the grounds, and the track itself.
In 2011, after Babe passed away, the park was donated to Lake Township, with Arcola Volunteer Fire Department granted perpetual access to the park for the annual Arcola National Truck and Tractor Pull. The park was dedicated during a ceremony at the pull in 2011, and is now called Branning Park.

Livestock papers required for 4-H'ers PDF Print E-mail
Wednesday, 16 May 2012 8:38

Just a reminder that 4-H’ers do not need health papers for livestock this year. Instead, a Premise ID number is needed for all cattle, sheep, goats, and swine. One may be obtained for horses but it is not required.
Anyone who buys, sells or exhibits livestock must have a Premise ID. The number to call to get one is (317) 544-2381.
A Premise ID is an identification number for the physical location in which animals are housed and is necessary to protect animal agriculture and the livestock industry. In an emergency, animal health officials will be able to rapidly communicate disease spread with producers. All 4-H’ers are required to know the Premise ID number for the property in which their animals are located and this number is recorded on your livestock enrollment forms.
If you do not currently have a Premise ID number you may apply for one through the Indiana State Board of Animal Health at www.in.gov/boah. Participants must have a Premise ID to show at the Whitley County 4-H Fair and the Indiana State Fair.
Poultry must come from an approved NPIP flock or be tested.
Remember all animals will be screened at the Fair for communicable diseases. If it is determined that animals have a disease, such as warts, ringworm, lamb fungus, etc., you will not be allowed to unload the animal.
All 4-H’ers in Dog and Cat must complete a health record/vaccination form. This form must be completed and signed by your vet.
