The Football Moms will be selling calendars at the game on Friday night. We know you're asking yourself "what's so special about these calendars." These calendars not only have your favorite football team on them, the Churubusco Eagles, and they not only have all the Fall sports listed on them BUT every single dollar made from the selling of these calendars is put into a scholarship fund that is given at the end of the school year.

ALBION -- Lions and Tigers and Beer, Black Pine! While that's not exactly the famous lyric, it does announce the approaching fourth annual beer tasting and hog roast to benefit more than 80 exotic animals living at Black Pine Animal Sanctuary in Albion.
Lions and Tigers and Beer, Black Pine! will take place at the non-profit animal refuge on Saturday, October 2 and will feature several beers to taste, a whole hog roast dinner, live music provided by Cheyenne, a silent auction, and sanctuary tours. Tours will introduce guests to resident Bengal tigers, leopards, lions, bears, monkeys, llamas, birds, reptiles and more, all rescued former "pets" and retired performers.
Tickets are on sale now and cost $20 in advance of the event, and $25 at the door. They may be purchased online at www.blackpineanimalpark.com/beer, by phone at (260) 636-7383, or at sponsor locations including House of Spirits in Kendallville and The Dock in Columbia City.
Attendees must be at least 21 years of age and present a valid photo identification in order to enter the sanctuary. The event will be held outdoors, rain or shine, and some shelter from inclement weather will be available. In the event of chilly temperatures, a bonfire will be lit.
Black Pine is a 501c3 non-profit, volunteer exotic animal sanctuary that provides permanent, end of life care to displaced captive-raised exotic animals. For more information, call (260) 636-7383 or visit the sanctuary's website at www.blackpine.org. ALBION -- Lions and Tigers and Beer, Black Pine!
