A strong thunderstorm with high winds blew through the Churubusco area on Thursday, July 16. There were many reports of fallen branches and debris on roadways. The most serious wind damage was at Shady Grove on the west end of Blue Lake. A very big ash tree fell onto a mobile home demolishing the entire front end. The home was a total loss.
